Love’s Healing Power: a review

Love's Healing Power

Love’s Healing Power

Love’s Healing Power was a sweet and poignant Western Romance.  A romance of love between two people who have loved each other since they parted ways less than a year before.

Love’s Healing Power is a stand-alone sequel to Love’s Golden Quest.  As such, it continues expounds on a subplot from the first book and continues the main plot as a subplot.  However, this was done in such a way that you do not need to read the first book before you read the second book.

Ms. Adams has a talent for capturing the moods, emotions, and struggles of her characters.  I fell in love with Wesley and MaryBeth right away.  Wesley’s struggles with not being good enough for MaryBeth were described well as were MaryBeth’s struggles with trying not to fall in love with Wesley again.

Worldview:
Ms. Adams writes from a distinctly Christian worldview that is refreshing.  She manages to weave the Bible and Christian thoughts in without beating it into your head or getting too preachy.

Writing:
I already touched on this some.  I think Ms. Adams did a very good job at writing this book and look forward to reading her next book as she continues to improve her writing style.

Characters:
While some of her secondary characters seemed a bit two-dimensional at times, her primary characters were well-developed and beleivable.

Love’s Healing Power will definitely be going on my Read Again list.  I highly recommend it.

Note: I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.  I was not compelled to give a positive review, but have done so of my own free will due to the worthiness of the author’s writing.
