5 Secrets of Story Structure: A Review

Introduction:

Structured story plots have been a problem for me in the past, but I never knew what to do about it, so I just kept plugging along. Then I came across this book and will not have that problem any more (as long as I follow the tips I read about).

Writing with yWriter

Writing Software; there are a lot of them out there. Some are free and some cost money. Scrivener is probably one of the most popular. If you’re like me, though, and you don’t have much money or aren’t sure Scrivener (or other paid softwares) are really worth it, there is an FREE option designed by a writer for writers: yWriter5.

What is yWriter?

yWriter is a word processor that divides your book into chapters and scenes easily and so you can see them. If you are outlining your book, this is a great tool to use because they have places for notes where you put the scene description in. Title: Marshall, Texas Ranger: The Case of The Hidden Pasts

Genre: Christian Western

Introduction:

If Sherlock Holmes were to be in the Wild West, things would be very interesting. If he then also had all memory of his past erased, that would be even more interesting.  George McVey did a great job of combining all of that. Including a Moriarty type figure. They are both unique and different from Holmes and Moriarty, but the resemblances are definitely there.

Chloe’s Sanctuary: A Review

Title: Chloe’s Sanctuary
Author: Sophie Dawson
Genre: Christian Western
Recommended Ages: 16 and up (due to the backgrounds of many of the women. It was handled well and not descriptively, but may not be appropriate for anyone younger than 16).

Introduction:

This was the first book by Sophie Dawson I have read. It was definitely an enjoyable read and I will try to find more books to read by her in the near future.

Of Buds and Blossoms: A Review

Introduction:

This book was a sweet story of love between two long-time friends. I haven’t read many stories like it before, but this one was super cute and the perfect length.
