Book Review: How to Train Your Cat to Promote Your Books

Title: How to Train Your Cat to Promote Your Books
Written By: Rayne Hall
Genre: Writing Helps/Non-fiction
Recommended Ages: 13 and up
Warning: The author does write horror books, so some of the pictures in the book contain a plastic skull or covers from the author’s books. There is also a reference to witches.

This book is great for cat lovers, even if you don’t write books. There are some great tips for training your cat. Even if I don’t ever use the tips for promoting my books, I’m seriously considering using it for training a couple of our cats.

Clarity: 1/1

Rayne did a good job at making sure each tip was well explained and easy to understand. The author also included lots of pictures illustrating their points and plenty of stories with their experiences.

Usability: .75/1

This book will not be able to be used for every cat, but I still read a few tips that I think could be helpful for any cat owner.

Readability: .75/1

I have the paperback edition of this book and it was quite readable. There were a few places where I personally would have changed the formatting a bit.

Overall writing quality: .75/1

I did find a few typos, but otherwise the book was well-written.

Un-put-down-ability: .75/1

It was hard to put down at times, especially during the some of the stories of Rayne’s cat, Sulu.

Conclusion: 4/5

Have a young cat and some books to promote? This would be a great way to promote them.
