Who doesn’t like a good mystery? I’m sure there are a few, but most people do like mysteries. What about a mystery within a mystery. Faith Blum’s new novella is just that. First there’s the mystery of who tried to dupe five mail order brides. Then Adelaide finds out someone is claiming she’s a runaway bride. What happens to her? Find out in Blessed Assurance.
About the Book
Blessed assurance, Jesus is mine O what a foretaste of glory divine! Heir of salvation, purchase of God Born of His Spirit, washed in His blood.
Adelaide lost her parents a year before and now a rich man in town is making unwanted advances toward her. Desperate, she writes to two men and quickly accepts the one from Cheyenne, Wyoming. On the final leg of her journey, in a stagecoach with four other mail order brides, her suspicions are confirmed. Will she ever find a man she can truly trust?
Faith Blum’s newest novella is available! This one is double trouble! Not only is it about twins, but these twins have reckless and adventurous spirits. When they go against their family, they run into more trouble than they bargained for.
About the Book
Just as I am, without one plea But that Thy blood was shed for me And that Thou bidst me come to Thee O Lamb of God, I come, I come.
Eve and Evangeline Collins are adventurous twins who decide to take a risk and head west as mail order brides. Their parents are less than pleased, but do nothing to stop them. Thank you to everyone who was involved in my blog tour whether it was posting on their blog, sharing a post, of entering the giveaway. I had a lot of fun with it. In case you missed any of the posts, you can find the direct links to them here: Continue reading →
If you have read any mail order bride stories, you’ve probably noticed that even though the bride and groom never met each other, they are both genuinely good people. It’s a rare story that has a scam or a truly bad person either write or respond to the mail order bride advertisement. I took that rare theme and wrote three novellas about five young ladies duped into becoming mail order brides only to find out the men they were supposed to marry weren’t what they had appeared in the letters. The first of those novellas just released on June 26th and I’m excited to share more about it today.
First of all, the three novellas were inspired by five minor characters in The Solid Rock. If you’ve read the book, you probably can guess which ones I am talking about. I couldn’t just leave those young ladies without telling their stories, so I continued them. Katie and Joanna are featured in Just a Closer Walk and I had a lot of fun writing it. I hope you enjoy reading it! (Plus there’s a giveaway 😉 ).
About the Book
I am weak, but Thou art strong/Jesus, keep me from all wrong/I’ll be satisfied as long/As I walk, let me walk close to Thee.
Katie and Joanna meet on a train headed to Cheyenne, Wyoming. They start talking and find out they are both headed there to become mail order brides. They quickly become good friends. When they get on a stagecoach with three other young women, Katie becomes suspicious. What is going to happen to them? Or is it really possible that nothing untoward is happening?
Welcome to this edition of New Release central where we announce the newest releases! Today we have a lovely novella collection written by Faith Blum and entitled Life and Salvation. But that’s not all, folks! Until the end of the month, you can get all three novellas in one volume for the price of just ONE novella! Just click on this handy-dandy link to get your very own copy.
I got my proof copy back yesterday (for the second time) and it was perfect this time! What am I talking about? I’m glad you asked. I’m talking about the paperback collection of novellas I published last summer. Remember these three books?
They are now part of a novella collection called Life and Salvation. And they are being published on Kindle and paperback on in just five days! You may have seen the cover here and there online, but I thought I should share it now here along with the original three covers. Can you catch what I did with the cover?
Life and Salvation is currently on sale for $0.99 until the end of January. That’s the price of just ONE of the novellas! I also ordered paperback copies yesterday, so if you’d like a signed copy, I am selling them for $13.50 (includes shipping and handling).
I have to say, I know I wrote these, but I’ve done so much reading, writing, and editing, I couldn’t remember everything I’d written in these novellas. When I got the first proof copy, I skimmed them again and it was like visiting old friends again. I loved it and I hope you love reading the novellas, too!
I’d love to hear your thoughts on my new book and the cover!
Thank you to all who voted on my poll last week. I really appreciate the input. After the votes were cast and some discussion with my sister, I have decided on a series title not only for the upcoming trilogy about orphans, but also for the two series’ after that.
