Some writer friends and I are having a huge sale January 24-30. There are over 140 books on the website and somewhere around 100 of those are on sale! Included in the sale books are four of mine: A Mighty Fortress, Redeemed, Life and Salvation, and Be Thou My Vision. The sale started yesterday and so far has been going very well!
All the books on the website are Clean reads and there are books for the whole family. Check it out today. NOTE: Not all the books are on sale the entire time, so please double check the price before you buy it.
I got my proof copy back yesterday (for the second time) and it was perfect this time! What am I talking about? I’m glad you asked. I’m talking about the paperback collection of novellas I published last summer. Remember these three books?
They are now part of a novella collection called Life and Salvation. And they are being published on Kindle and paperback on in just five days! You may have seen the cover here and there online, but I thought I should share it now here along with the original three covers. Can you catch what I did with the cover?
Life and Salvation is currently on sale for $0.99 until the end of January. That’s the price of just ONE of the novellas! I also ordered paperback copies yesterday, so if you’d like a signed copy, I am selling them for $13.50 (includes shipping and handling).
I have to say, I know I wrote these, but I’ve done so much reading, writing, and editing, I couldn’t remember everything I’d written in these novellas. When I got the first proof copy, I skimmed them again and it was like visiting old friends again. I loved it and I hope you love reading the novellas, too!
I’d love to hear your thoughts on my new book and the cover!
Actually, it’s more than one announcement and I hope you are all as excited as I am.
I have another sale coming up soon. A Mighty Fortress will be free January 24-28 and will be advertised on Bookbub on January 24th. ^_^ Be Thou My Vision will be on sale January 24-28(?), and Redeemed will be free January 24-28, plus as I mentioned yesterday, Life and Salvation is discounted through January 31st. Life and Salvation: Hymns of the West Novellas #1-3!
That’s right folks, the three novellas published last summer are now available for preorder in one volume! From now until January thirty-first, you can get the Kindle version for just $0.99!
Life and Salvation is a collection of I Love Thee,Pass Me Not, and Redeemed. As you may recall, each story has slight tie-ins to Amazing Grace. In I Love Thee, Cole Baxter writes to Maggie before realizing he almost made the biggest mistake of his life. In Amazing Grace, Caleb reads mail order brides advertisements written by Abigail and Mona and chooses Maggie’s instead. In Pass Me Not and Redeemed both young women get their own stories told. Today is release day! I am excited. Not only because Redeemed is probably my favorite of the novellas, but also because I get to share in today with all of you. 🙂 Be sure to check out all the reviews and fun posts for the blog tour. You can find the schedule at this web page. And don’t forget to check out the giveaway.
To help celebrate release day, I’ve got two excerpts for you. They are both from Amazing Grace, my third novel. This novel is what got the novellas started. The first scene contains the mail order bride advertisements used in all three of the novellas. The second one is the one where I fell in love with Cole and knew I had to write more about him. This post will be a little long, but I hope you enjoy the two excerpts. Continue reading →

Yes, the title is correct. I am trying to write 50,000 words in July by hand. All in one book. I have gotten away from doing it that way. Yes, it is faster to just type the story up. However, with just a pen and paper, you can get away from the computer (read: internet) and all the distractions that entails. And one thing I used to love about writing by hand is that when I went to type it up, I got the first edit/rewrite done as I typed! Especially when I can’t read my own handwriting. *innocent smile* Not that I would do that…
As for how I am doing, I am a little behind right now, but not by much so I expect that I should be able to get to 50,000 words before July 31st unless something unexpected happens.
As for the title, that is an experiment. You may have noticed all the sensationalized titles for articles and videos. I want to see if it will work for my blog post with my writing updates.
I hope you have all been enjoying the blog tour. I know I have. If you have missed any of the posts, click here to check them out. Even though I have enjoyed every post on the tour, I’m most excited about this one. There are a couple of reasons for this.
1. I finally accomplished the impossible (for me)! I wrote a complete story in less than 20,000 words! And then I did it two more times!
2. I finally get to show you the lovely covers I have for the Hymns of the West Novellas and announce when the first one will be published! Continue reading →
