Sad and Exciting News

Exciting News

How do you like that for a title? I know most people prefer the sad news first, but I’m going to make you wait because I can’t wait to share the exciting news with you.

If you’re on Facebook, you may have seen my update about the rough draft of The Solid Rock. But, for those of you who are not, here’s the news. Continue reading

7-7-7 challenge

A blogger friend of mine recently did this challenge and tagged anyone who hadn’t done it and who wanted to do it. So here I am!

These are the rules:

  • Go to page 7 of your WIP
  • Scroll down to line 7
  • Share the next 7 sentences in a blog post.
  • After the excerpt, tag 7 other writers to continue the challenge.

As I mentioned in my last blog post, I am currently editing and writing, so I have two Works in Progress (WIP). Because of this, I will actually post TWO excerpts. 😀 One will be from Lily of the Valley which I am editing, and the other from The Solid Rock which is being written pretty much as we speak. 🙂 Enjoy!

However, with just a pen and paper, you can get away from the computer (read: internet) and all the distractions that entails. And one thing I used to love about writing by hand is that when I went to type it up, I got the first edit/rewrite done as I typed! Especially when I can’t read my own handwriting. *innocent smile* Not that I would do that…

As for how I am doing, I am a little behind right now, but not by much so I expect that I should be able to get to 50,000 words before July 31st unless something unexpected happens.

As for the title, that is an experiment. You may have noticed all the sensationalized titles for articles and videos. I want to see if it will work for my blog post with my writing updates.

You won’t believe what happened next! Continue reading
