It’s Christmas in July! Or, for some of us, it is. If you live in the south like author Amanda Tero, you’re more than ready to think of cold weather. And what better way to do it than to grab some sugar cookies and hot chocolate (trust me, after you read the story, you’ll be craving them!) and settle down for a winter read?

The Secret Slipper: A Review
About the Book
Being a cripple is only the beginning of Lia’s troubles. It seems as if Bioti’s goal in life is to make Lia as miserable as possible. If Lia’s purpose is to be a slave, then why did God make her a cripple? How can He make something beautiful out of her deformity?
Raoul never questioned the death of his daughter until someone reports her whereabouts. If Ellia is still alive, how has she survived these ten years with her deformity? When Raoul doesn’t know who to trust, can he trust God to keep Ellia safe when evidence reveals Bioti’s dangerous character?
As time brings more hindrances, will Raoul find Ellia, or will she forever be lost to the father she doesn’t even know is searching for her?

Faith is the Victory
No, I’m not talking about myself with that title. It’s the title of the book that is releasing on September 26th!
To celebrate the release, I’m doing something a little different. First, the blog tour is shorter (September 26-28) and then on September 30th a friend and I are doing a Facebook party together. Her book, Befriending the Beast is releasing that day and we thought it would be fun to a party together.
So why this blog post? Two reasons. Continue reading

Journey to Love
Happy St. Patrick’s Day! Today, I’m honored to have my good friend Amanda join me on my blog. She’s written the first of many books in what sounds like a really wonderful series called, Orphan Journeys. And she has a giveaway, too!
About the Book
Now orphaned, Marie is swept miles away from the only life she knew to be sheltered by unknown guardians. Caught in the challenges of a new life, she cannot prevent changes from happening, but she can keep the Bowles and their friends at arm’s length. Or can she?
While things appear to transition smoothly on the outside, Marie struggles against the turmoil she faces on the inside. She sees something in the Bowles and her new friends that she had never experienced before…but should she trust what the preacher is teaching when it goes against everything she had accepted as truth? Is God really a God of love? If He is, then is Marie willing to accept it?
Follow Marie as she begins the journey to love. Continue reading
Short, but Powerful
I had the privilege to read this short story and give my opinions of it to Amanda. When she announced she was releasing it, I was excited to read the updated version. I am glad I did. I needed to hear the message of this book again and it came at the perfect time. What book am I talking about? The title is Peace, Be Still. Today I’m reviewing the book as my part in her blog tour. Be sure to check out the giveaway, too.
Introduction
This book is so powerful. I’m amazed how someone can pack so much into a short 2,600 word story. If you ever feel anxious about anything (who hasn’t?), get this book and read it. Then read it again when you are anxious again. It’s worth it. Continue reading
Coffee Cake Days Blog tour
Today I have the privilege of introducing you to a sweet, short story called Coffee Cake Days by Amanda Tero.
About the Book
Meg has finally graduated and has the time she’s dreamed of for months: time to “sit at the feet of Jesus” and soak up His Word as she seeks what future plans He has for her.
She soon runs into a problem: her family. Unwanted interruptions and household duties tear her away from the time she longs to spend in the Bible. Journey with her as she strives to learn the balance of spending time in God’s Word and applying it to her daily life. Continue reading
