Tomorrow

2 facts about tomorrow: First, I turn a year older tomorrow. This is both exciting and a little frightening at the same time. I am coming ever closer to turning a quarter of a century old. I’m not quite there yet, but it’s a frightening thought. I know, for those of you who are older than 25, that sounds like I’m a spring chicken. But for me, it’s a little scarier. Do you remember when you were getting close to 25? We each go through phases like this. BTMV promo pb and kSecond, my second book is being released to the general public. Today is the last day the Kindle version will be available for preorder and also the last day it will be available for only $0.99 (until I do another promo). Tomorrow the book will be available for purchase and have a higher price tag. If you want to read the book for a cheaper price buy it now. I also have my proof copy for the paperback in my possession. It looks gorgeous! And I just read through it all yesterday (I know, I’m bad) and there were just four minor issues. Once those are resolved early this week, I’ll be able approve the proof and it will be available to order shortly after that. In other words, if you preorder your autographed copy, I’ll be able to ship the book to you absolutely no later than the week before Thanksgiving!  Autographed copies are just $10.00 + shipping. This blog post is set up in 2’s, 4’s, and 24’s. I think you can probably guess why. 😉 Continue reading

The blog tour is being organized by the lovely Dawnita Fogleman and the blog tour schedule and opening post will be announced on her blog on October 20th. BTMV tagline promoBut, that’s not the best part! The best part is that on November 1st, we are going to have a big Facebook party complete with prizes and fun giveaways. So far, we have at least 10 books of various genres, age groups, and authors to giveaway. Including, Lord willing, a paperback set of A Mighty Fortress and Be Thou My Vision as the Grand Prize!

Drum Roll Please…

Wasn’t that blog tour fun? I know I had fun. But I’m sure y’all don’t necessarily care. You mainly want to know who our two lucky winners are. Well, our lucky winners today are…

AND

Deeanna

Aundy Cover

Congratulations to you both! I’m sure you’ll enjoy reading the books! Either Shanna or I will be emailing you soon. Random, fun fact: Anna and Aundy both have some similarities. They are both unconventional women and they are both taller than most women.

And since there were only three entries, I didn’t want to leave Miss Theodora out. Theodora will be receiving two lovely desktop backgrounds created by Perry Elisabeth.

Be Thou My Vision

Don’t forget that you can preorder “Be Thou My Vision” all the way up to the publishing date. On October 26th, the price goes up to what will be the regular price: $2.99.

BTMV Preorder Promo2And if you haven’t read the first book, “A Mighty Fortress”, it isn’t necessary to read first, but it does give a little bit of back story. Also, be on the look out for updates on “Amazing Grace”. To get the full story, from “Be Thou My Vision”, you will want to read “Amazing Grace”. Lord willing, that book will be coming out early 2015.

Another Sneak Peek

Today’s blog post (although a little late) is another sneak peek. Head over to the However Improbable blog (isn’t that a fun name?) and check it out. In it you can read some of Anna’s innermost thoughts.

Writing Sermons, a guest post

BTMV Preorder Promo2

Today’s stop on the blog tour is at Ophelia’s blog. She’s a friend of mine from Holy Worlds and offered to post a guest post from me. So I wrote up a blog post about writing sermons since I did that two or three times in Be Thou My Vision. Check it out! And the giveaway is still open until Monday (September 22, 2014) at midnight, so if you want a chance to win, you better enter now. So far there are only 3 entries.

Another sneak peek

Today’s blog tour stop is at Valerie Howard’s blog and is another sneak peek. Go over to the Pen Help blog to read about Anna meeting up with an old school mate.

And thank you to all who have entered the giveaway. Make sure you tell people about the giveaway. The more the merrier! 😀

Blog Tour: Meet My Main Character

Yes, I am part of yet another blog tour.  Actually, in the next month or so, I will be posting three more (not counting this one).  But, in this one you get to meet the main character in Be Thou My Vision, Anna Stuart.  I was tagged for this tour by Shannon Pemrick.  Shannon is the author of a dystopian/fairytale book called Experimental Heart: Pieces.

And now on to the questions.

1) What is the name of your character? Is she fictional or a historic person?

The main character of Be Thou My Vision is Anna Stuart.  She is a fictional character who has become disgruntled with life, or at least the life she currently lives. Continue reading

Finale Questions

Finale Questions

Did you reach your goal?

Yes, I did! I have A Mighty Fortress edited through chapter 24 at the time of this post. That means there are only six more chapters to edit and I will be finished with the second draft!

Be Thou My Vision currently stands at 15,432 words. If I recall correctly, I started July with only about 8,000 words. It is coming along nicely.

What was the most difficult part of finishing something this July?

The most difficult part was finishing anything the week of July 5-16. We had some cousins stay with us and they were a handful.

Did you maintain a writing schedule? How often did you write to meet your goal?

Not really. I just wrote and edited when I the time to do so. Usually in the mornings and evenings, but there were also some afternoons.
